இந்தத் தெலுங்கு கவிதை சொல்வதைப் போல, தலித் மாணவர்கள் கல்வித் திட்டத்தாலும் அதன் நடைமுறைகளாலும் ஏமாற்றப்படுகிறார்கள் என்று ஒரு கருத்து இருக்கிறது. அது ஒரு வகையில் உண்மையும்கூட. ஆனால், முழுவதும் உண்மையல்ல! ஓர் ஆசிரியருக்குரிய கடமையிலிருந்து வழுவி, சாதிய அதர்மத்தால் கீழாக்கப்பட்ட தீண்டப்படாத ஒரு மாணவனுக்கு கற்பிக்க மறுத்ததுமின்றி, வஞ்சகமாக கட்டை விரலை வெட்டி வாங்கிக் கொண்ட துரோகத்தையும் ஆசிரியன் செய்ததால் எங்கள் அப்பா, அம்மா என்று சந்ததிக்கே கட்டை விரல் இல்லை என்கிறான் கவிஞன்.

தலித் மாணவர்கள் நன்றாகப் படிப்பதைப் பார்த்து மனம் பொறுக்காமல் மதிப்பெண்களைக் குறைத்துவிடுவது; அவர்களை ஊக்கப்படுத்த மறுப்பது; அவர்களின் விடைத்தாள்களை கவனம் கொடுத்து மதிப்பீடு செய்யாமல் விடுவது உள்ளிட்ட பல அயோக்கியத்தனங்களைச் செய்கிற ஆசிரியர் கூட்டம்தான் பெருவாரியாக இன்றும் கல்வித் துறையில் இருக்கிறது.

இந்த வகையான துரோகங்களை சகித்துக் கொண்டு, கிடைக்கும் வாய்ப்புகளையும் உதவிகளையும் பயன்படுத்தி இன்று தலித் மாணவர்கள் தங்களின் திறமையை நிரூபணம் செய்து வருகிறார்கள் என்பது, நம்பிக்கைக்குரிய ஒன்றாகவும் பெருமிதம் கொள்ளும்படியாகவும் இருக்கிறது. தலித் மாணவர்களின் இந்தத் திறன் வெளிப்பாட்டை ஒரு காட்டுச் செடியின் வளர்ச்சிக்கு ஒப்பிடலாம். பருவ நிலைகளையும், நோய், பூச்சித்தாக்குதல் போன்ற இடர்ப்பாடுகளையும் தாங்கி வளர்வது அது!

பள்ளி மேல்நிலை வகுப்புகள் அளவில் சமூக நிலையிலும், பொருளாதார நிலையிலும் பின்தங்கியிருக்கின்ற தலித் மாணவர்களின் பள்ளிச் சேர்க்கை, பிற பிரிவினரைக் காட்டிலும் குறைந்த அளவே உள்ளது. இது, மூன்றுக்கு ஒன்று என்ற விகிதத்தில் கொள்ளத்தக்கது. ஆனால், தேர்வு முடிவுகள் பிறரைக் காட்டிலும் மூன்று மடங்கு அதிகமான தேர்ச்சி விழுக்காட்டை காட்டுகின்றன. வளர்ந்து வரும் இளம் தலித் சமூகம் பல்வேறு தடைகளையும், மாயைகளையும் உடைத்துக் கொண்டு எழுந்து வருகிறது என்றே இதற்குப் பொருள்.

2005 மேல்நிலை வகுப்பு அரசுத் தேர்வில் தேர்ச்சி பெற்ற தலித் மாணவர்களின் எண்ணிக்கை 67,695. தேர்வு எழுதிய 1,05,407 தலித் மாணவர்களில் தேர்ச்சி விழுக்காடு 64.22. தலித் மற்றும் பழங்குடியின மாணவர்களில் சுமார் 411 பேர் அறிவியல், கணக்கியல் உள்ளிட்ட பல பாடங்களில் (மொழிப்பாடம் நீங்கலாக) முழு மதிப்பெண் (200/200) பெற்றுள்ளனர். மிகக் குறிப்பாக கணிதம், கணக்கியல் போன்றவற்றில் முழு மதிப்பெண் பெற்றோரின் விழுக்காடு அதிகமானது. பல பாடங்களில் மதிப்பெண் பெற்ற பிற மாணவர்களின் 5 விழுக்காடு எண்ணிக்கையைப் போலவே, 4 அல்லது 3.5 என்ற விழுக்காட்டிலேயேதான் தலித் மாணவர்களும் வருகின்றனர். நுண்ணறிவுத்திறன், புரிந்துகொள்ளும் கூறுணர்வு போன்றவற்றில் தலித் மாணவர்கள் எதற்கும் சளைத்தவர்கள் அல்லர் என்பதை இது வெளிப்படுத்துகின்றது.

டாக்டர் அம்பேத்கர் ஆசிரியராக இருந்தபோது, ஒரு தலித் மாணவரின் உறவினர் அவரை அணுகி அம்மாணவருக்கு அதிக மதிப்பெண்களை வழங்கும்படி கேட்டுக் கொள்கிறார். அம்பேத்கர், அவரின் கோரிக்கையை நிராகரிக்கிறார். மற்ற மாணவர்களைக் காட்டிலும் குறைந்த திறன் கொண்டவராக ஒரு தலித் மாணவர் எப்போதும் இருக்கக்கூடாது என்று அந்த நபரிடம் சொல்லியனுப்புகிறார் அவர். வளர்ந்துவரும் தலித் சமூகத்தின் இளம் தலைமுறை, இதை உணர்வுபூர்வமாகவே அறிந்திருப்பதாகத் தோன்றுகிறது.

திறன் கொண்டவர்களாக இருக்கும் தலித் மாணவர்களுக்கு, அவர்களின் எழுச்சியை மட்டுப்படுத்தும் தடைகள் பல நிலவுகின்றன. அவர்களுடைய வெற்றிகள், போதிய கவனத்துடன் மக்களிடையே கொண்டு செல்லப்படுவதில்லை. அவர்கள் தலைப்புச் செய்திகளில் தன்மைப்படுத்த ப்படுவதில்லை. ஒவ்வோர் ஆண்டும் பத்தாம் வகுப்பு மற்றும் பனிரெண்டாம் வகுப்புகளில் முதல் மூன்று இடங்களை மாநில அளவில் பெற்றவர்களுக்கு முதல்வர் பரிசுகளை வழங்கிப் பாராட்டுகிறார். மேல்நிலை வகுப்பில் மாநில அளவில் மூன்று இடங்களைப் பெறுகிற மாணவர்களுக்கு இலவச கல்விக் கட்டணம், இலவச பாடப்புத்தகங்கள், விடுதி செலவு ஆகியவற்றை அரசு அளிக்கிறது.

இதுபோன்ற ஓர் அணுகுமுறையை அரசு தலித் மாணவர்கள் அளவிலும் கடைப்பிடிக்கலாமே! மாநில அளவில் முதல் மூன்று இடங்களைப் பெறும் தலித் மாணவர்களுக்கும் அரசு விழா எடுப்பதன் மூலம் அடுத்து வரும் தலித் மாணவர்களை உற்சாகப்படுத்தியது போலாகும். இதுபோன்ற நடவடிக்கைகள், தற்பொழுது நிலவும் சாதகமற்ற கல்விச் சூழலில் தலித் மாணவர்கள் மேலெழுந்து வர உளவியல் பலத்தை அளிக்கும். ஆனால், அரசு இவைகளை செய்ய மறுக்கிறது. அறுபது விழுக்காட்டுக்கு மேல் மதிப்பெண் எடுக்கும் தலித் மாணவர்களுக்கும், மாவட்ட மாநில அளவில் முதலிடம் பெறும் தலித் மாணவர்களுக்கும் ஊக்கத் தொகைகளை வழங்க பல வழிகள் உள்ளன. ஆனால், பெரும்பாலும் இவை வழங்கப்படுவதில்லை; அதற்கான நடவடிக்கைகளை மேற்கொள்வதும் இல்லை.

Dalith students கல்விக் கட்டண உயர்வினால் பாதிப்புக்குள்ளாகும் மாணவர்கள், படிப்பதைத் தொடராமல் விட்டுவிடும் நிலை உருவாகி இருக்கிறது. 1999 - 2000 இல் 94.28 லட்சம் என்று இருந்த மாணவர் சேர்க்கை, 2003 - 04 இல் 65.29 லட்சமாகக் குறைந்துள்ளது. இதில் படிப்பதைத் தொடராமல் விட்டுவிடும் பெரும்பாலான மாணவர்கள் தலித்துகளே. நுழைவுத் தேர்வு மூலம் கிராமப்புற மாணவர்கள் பாதிக்கப்படுகிறார்கள் என்று அக்கறை கொள்கிற அரசு, தலித் மாணவர்களை அத்தேர்வுகளுக்குத் தயார்படுத்தும் விதமாக சில முயற்சிகளை மேற்கொள்ளலாம் என்றும் இன்று மாற்றுக் கருத்துகள் முன் வைக்கப்படுகின்றன.

ஓராண்டுக்கு எழுபதாயிரம் தலித் மாணவர்கள் மேல்நிலைப் பள்ளித் தேர்வில் தேர்ச்சி பெறுகிறார்கள் என்றால், அதில் சுமார் இருபதாயிரம் பேராவது மருத்துவம் மற்றும் பொறியியல் படிக்க விண்ணப்பிக்கிறார்கள். இவர்களுக்கு ஆண்டுக்கு பத்தாயிரம் ரூபாய் குறைந்த அளவிலான கட்டணம் என்று அரசே தனியார் கல்லூரிகளுடன் பேசி கல்வி பயில உதவலாம். ஆறாம் வகுப்பு அளவிலிருந்தே திறன் மிக்க தலித் மாணவர்களைப் பள்ளிக்கு இவ்வளவு என்று தெரிவு செய்து, சிறப்புக் கவனம் அளித்து கொண்டு வரலாம். இத்தகு பள்ளிகளுக்கு அரசு ஊக்கத் தொகையும் வழங்க முடியும். பதினோராம், பனிரெண்டாம் வகுப்பு அளவில் நுழைவுத் தேர்வுக்கு என தலித் மாணவர்களுக்கு சிறப்புப் பயிற்சி அளிக்கலாம். ஆதிதிராவிட நலப்பள்ளிகளுக்கு சிறப்புக் கவனம் செலுத்துவதன் மூலம் மேலும் பல தலித் மாணவர்களை திறனுள்ளவர்களாக்க முடியும்.

தலித்துகள் இன்று மிகச் சிறந்த கல்வி அறிவுடன் விளங்குகின்றனர். அவர்களில் சிலருக்கு பள்ளிகளை உருவாக்கி நிர்வகிக்க, அரசு உதவுவதன் மூலம் தலித் மாணவர்களை சிறப்பாக தயார் செய்ய முடியும். தலித் நிர்வாகத்தில் தனியார் கல்வி நிலையங்களே இல்லை என்ற குறையும் இதன் மூலம் போகும். கிருத்துதாசு காந்தி போன்ற சில தலித் செயல்பாட்டாளர்கள் மேற்கண்டவை போன்ற நேர்மறையான சில அணுகுமுறைகளை, நிலவும் சாதகமற்ற கல்விச் சூழலை தலித் மாணவர்கள் சமாளிப்பதற்கு பரிந்துரைக்கிறார்கள். இவற்றை நாம் கவனத்தில் கொண்டு அலச வேண்டியது, இன்றைய தேவையாக உள்ளது.

தலித் மாணவர்களுக்கு இழைக்கப்படும் மற்றொரு அநீதி பள்ளிச் சேர்க்கை. தமிழகத்தில் இருக்கும் சுமார் 55 விழுக்காடு மேல்நிலைப் பள்ளிகளில், தலித் மாணவர்களுக்காக, அரசு நிர்ணயித்துள்ள இடங்கள் நிரப்பப்படவில்லை. இருக்கின்ற 4141 மேல்நிலைப் பள்ளிகளில், 2271 பள்ளிகள் 18 விழுக்காட்டுக்கும் குறைவான தலித் மாணவர்களையே கொண்டுள்ளன (2005, அரசுத் தேர்வு விவரப்படி). பழங்குடியின மக்கள் அதிகம் கொண்ட உதகை மாவட்டத்தில், 22 பள்ளிகளில் 1 விழுக்காட்டுக்கும் குறைவாகவே பழங்குடி மாணவர்கள் சேர்க்கப்பட்டுள்ளனர் என்கிற விவரம், அதிர்ச்சி அளிக்கிறது.

இந்த நிலை தனியார் பள்ளிகளான மெட்ரிகுலேஷன் பள்ளிகள், நிதியுதவிப்பள்ளிகள், சிறுபான்மையினர் பள்ளிகள் ஆகியவற்றில் நீடிக்கிறது. சிறுபான்மையினரின் நிர்வாகத்தில் இருக்கும் 1293 மேல்நிலைப்பள்ளிகளில், சுமார் 79 விழுக்காட்டு பள்ளிகள், 18 விழுக்காட்டுக்கும் கீழான அளவில்தான் தலித் மாணவர்களை கொண்டுள்ளன. நிதியுதவி பெறும் மேல் நிலைப் பள்ளிகளில், சராசரியாக 17.49 விழுக்காடு தலித் மாணவர்களே சேர்க்கப்பட்டுள்ளனர். மெட்ரிகுலேஷன் பள்ளிகளில் 8.55 விழுக்காடுதான். இப்புள்ளிவிவரங்கள் எல்லாம் பனிரெண்டாம் வகுப்பு அளவிலே தலித் மாணவர்களின் சேர்க்கை நிலையில் இருக்கும் அநீதியை வெளிச்சமிடுகின்றன.

அரசுப் பள்ளிகள் இந்த விஷயத்தில் சற்றே ஆறுதல் அளிப்பதாக இருக்கின்றன. அப்பள்ளிகளில்தான் பெரும்பாலான தலித் மாணவர்கள் படித்து மேலே வருகிறார்கள். அரசுப் பள்ளிகளின் மொத்த மாணவர் தொகையில் 27.45 விழுக்காடு தலித் மாணவர்களே. ஆனால், இவற்றிலும் குறைபாடுகள் இல்லாமல் இல்லை. சுமார் 496 அரசுப் பள்ளிகளில் 18 விழுக்காட்டுக்கும் குறைவாக தலித் மாணவர்கள் இருக்கிறார்கள். கன்னியாகுமரி, ராமநாதபுரம், கிருஷ்ணகிரி, தருமபுரி ஆகிய மாவட்டங்களில் சரிபாதிக்கும் மேலான பள்ளிகளில் 18 விழுக்காடு மாணவர் சேர்க்கை நடைபெறுவதில்லை.

இந்த நிலைக்கு பள்ளி நிர்வாகம் மற்றும் ஆசிரியர்களின் அக்கறையின்மை மட்டுமின்றி, அரசின் பாராமுகம் காரணமாக இருக்கிறது. அரசு விதிகளின்படி சேர்க்கை நடைபெறுகிறதா என எந்தத் தனியார் பள்ளிகளையும் ஆய்வு செய்வதில்லை. அங்கு இருக்கும் காலச் சூழல் மற்றும் கல்விக் கட்டணங்களை செலுத்த திராணியற்ற நிலையே தலித் மாணவர்களை பின்னுக்குத் தள்ளுகிறது. இத்தனை நெருக்கடிகளிலும் தலித் மாணவர்கள் படிக்கிறார்கள். வானம் இருண்டிருந்தாலும் இருட்டைக் கிழிக்கும் மின்னலின் முனைப்பு அவர்களிடம் இருக்கிறது.

I've seen quite a number of articles in keetru.com under the heading "Ilakkiya Mettimai Thanathinul Uraiyum Arpavadha Idhayam" by somebody and now this article by Madhimaran. Why the website is wasting such trash written by these fellows that too sometime in 2004.

I think there is a basic hatred for these fellows about Sundara Ramaswamy and the only reason for this in Tamil Nadu could be that he is a Brahmin. If he was a rich Nayakkar like Erottu Fraudu Kannadatthu EVR, these fellows would have appreciated and jumped from heaven to earth eulogising the photos of their leader EVR (Aahaa, EVR cuckoos pogum bodhu kooda eppadi moonjiyai vecchukkittu sindhikkiraar?)

At the outset, please forgive me for writing in English as I do not have the tamil font facility.

I read the interview of Director Seeman in keetru.com and wish to pose the following questions to this "revolutionary"?

a) Seeman asks "Endha Pappaan Anju Acre nilam vecchu vivasaayam panninaan?". My reply is all the lands are with your Nayakkars and Mudaliars. In Tamil Nadu which Nayakkan and Mudalian worked in the fields? EVR ennikku vayalla velai senjaan? Half of Erode belonged to him and he was doing "Thinnai Panjayatthu". It is these bloody fellows who are talking about social justice and upliftment of SC/STs.

b) Seeman talks elaborately about Tamil and the need for speaking in Tamil in Tamil Nadu. But it was his leader the "Erottu Fraudu" EVR who said "Tamil" is a kattumirandi language and "I am a Kannadian" in his biography written by Sami Chidambaranar. I've seen Seeman often referring himself as "Periyar's Grandson". If he is indeed Periyar's Grandson, why can't Seeman go to Karnataka and pluck hair (Mayiru Pudungaradhu - in Seeman's own language) there?

c) "Paracchigalellam ravikkai podarathunaala dhaan naattula thuni vilai yeri pocchu" - sonnadhu none other than Seeman's grandfather EVR.

Seeman represents the powerful backward classes of Tamil Nadu (mostly Telugus and Kannadigas) who want to occupy each and every sphere of life in Tamil Nadu by talking about the false concept of "Dravidian" and "Dravida Naadu". Why can't Seeman go to Karnataka CM or Andhra CM and tell that he's Periyar's Grandson and solve the Cauvery and Mullaperiyar issues? Anga pona seruppaala adippaan? People in Andhra and Karnataka have united on the basis of language. It is the Erottu Fraudu EVR and his disciples (Kannadigas and Telugus) who duped Tamil Nadu by talking about the false concept of Dravida Naadu etc., In Seeman's understanding, people like EVR, Annadurai (Telugu), Arcot Veeraswamy (who speaks Telugu even with the dog in his house as confirmed by his leader Kalaignar) are all Pacchai Tamizhargal. Yaarada Emaatthureenga?

One of the funniest interviews I have ever come across. Mr. Seeman thinks very seriously about himself. And very lightly of others. He keeps asking the L.K.G questions like “Where is your god?”, “Show me your god” kind. I still wonder how a man can take it into his head that it is the duty of his life that others should know certain things which he feels important for himself.
When people have nothing to do they start thinking in the lines of “En mozhi”, “En naadu”, “En mannu”, “En makkal” etc.. People have enough headaches already than to hear such craps.

It is not wise of me to talk like this but I cannot help saying – try to be either a film maker or a social worker but stop being a preacher. And don’t justify your reason for making films. Those who make masala movies also have their own “porulaadara thevai” like you. Their motive of amassing wealth is as good as yours – enabling you to support your so called brothers. Only people who have doubts about their own actions try to show that they are doing better than the rest of the group.

Talking loudly, fiercely, criticizing others, asking questions about others sentiments and beliefs – and above all the statement “Pesi Pesiye thaan makkala maathanum” just shows how big an ego he has. Just because you are in a media industry, you read so many books, you have your brother's support does not allow you to abuse others and start questioning about anything.

Mr. Nagarajan have closed the short story with a very important word from the English doctor. When our human race will come out of the ills of life. First of all the name widow itself should be removed from the dictionery. A female who lost her husband at whatever age it may be, should be instead of keeping away, be given more importance and responsibility to keep her engaged in all our house activities so that it will be a great relief for her while mixing with people and she will be away from the feeling of lomliness/isolation. If she is below the age of 50, remarriage is always possible atleast to take care of her at later ages. A man or woman in our society look /see a widow with less importance. Will we do the same if our own sister is a widow? Are we seeing our mother with less importance when she become/became a widow? Then why not other woman ? Sea changes we made in science and technology but we have to change our ownselves. When it will happen ?. It should happen with the present generation atleast.

The article of Mr. Raghupathy on Arunthathiyar is thoght provoking. I was almost shocked to know that only during the colonial period, when the toilet system got introduced, the Arunthathiyas were forced into the work of cleaning the toilets. Similarly the story in the Jails. Raghupathy's question whether the crime's intensity or the caste plays the determining role is apt. I congratulate Raghupathy for the paper. Keep problematizing what look so "natural".

சகோதரியின் சிந்தனைகள் நியத்தில் நடப்பவை,நன்றாக உள்ளது.(திருமணம் என்பது மற்றும் நல்ல உடை, நல்ல உணவு, நல்ல வீடு, நல்ல பொண்ணு இப்படி பொண்ணைக்கூட ஒரு பொருளாத் தான் பார்க்கிறாங்க. அவளை மனுஷியாப் பார்க்கிற மனநிலை வரவே இல்லை.

பெண்ணுக்கென்று சுயமரியாதை இருக்கிறது, அவளுக்கென்று தனிமனசு, சிந்தனை இருக்குன்னு இவங்க யாரும் யோசிக்கவே மாட்டாங்க. ஒரு பெண் நண்பனிடமோ, காதலனிடமோ பழகும்போது அவனை நம்பித்தான் பழகுகிறாள். அவனை நம்பித்தான் உடல்ரீதியான உறவையும் ஏற்படுத்திக் கொள்கிறாள். அந்த உறவையும் நண்பர்களிடம் பகிர்ந்து கொண்டு கிண்டல் அடிப்பது தான் ஆண்களின் வேலை. பென்களைப் பற்றிய பேச்சே ஆண்களுக்கு சுவாரஸ்யமானது.) இந்த கருத்து முற்றிலும் உண்மை.சகோதரியுடன் தொடர்பு கொள்ள ஆவலாய் உள்ளேன்.
